Temporary exhibitions at Siida are arranged by the Sámi Museum Siida and the Northern Lapland Nature Centre Siida. Both actors select the exhibitions best suited for them on the basis of their exhibition policies.
The proposals received by the Sámi Museum are reviewed two times each year and those received by the Northern Lapland Nature Centre once a year.
Temporary exhibitions complement our permanent exhibition, and they provide an in-depth perspective on the themes of Sámi culture and northern nature covered in the permanent display. You decide how to create the temporary exhibition, and the content is the key.
We plan our temporary exhibitions on a long-term basis, and the decisions on future exhibitions are made for at least one year in advance.
Siida has two spaces for temporary exhibitions: an open gallery and an exhibition hall. They are shared by the Sámi Museum and the Northern Lapland Nature Centre. We do not charge any rent for the exhibition spaces.
